Hey everyone, I started seeing a psychiatrist for an ADHD diagnosis. I have seen him 2 times (each session was 1 hour each) and the last time he told me I do have ADHD. I paid $1500 for that total. After medicare rebate, out of pocket cost was $1100.

I am told I have to go back to discuss medication options. After medication, I have to go back to be monitored for changes and to see if the meds are working. I really like my psychiatrist, but I’m now wondering how many more sessions I need total because it’s quite expensive.

How many sessions did you guys need total and how much did you have to pay? I’m based in Sydney.
