Running 70km/week and I eat way too much
Hi everyone, maybe some experienced runners or nutrition experts can help me out.
I’ve really ramped up my running mileage and have been clocking 70 km a week for several weeks now. Physically, I feel fine—no aches or pains or anything like that.
But my appetite has skyrocketed.
I track my food, and sometimes I consume 15,000–18,000 kcal in a week. I’m a woman (26 years old) and weigh 53 kg.
That’s obviously way too much. I’ve read a lot about how proper nutrition works and I’m paying attention to it, but if I keep having such a big appetite and eating this much, I’ll gain weight, which I definitely don’t want (I’ve only lost 17 kg in the last few months).
I actually want to get down to 50 kg, but this isn’t going to work.
Does anyone have experience with this and can help me? I don’t really want to reduce my weekly mileage because I love running and I’m really happy with the progress I’m making right now.
