I am a 26F who has struggled with depression/anxiety for about 10 years and am currently on 200mg Sertraline HCL. I have tried Lexapro, Venlafaxine, and Wellbutrin for my depression. I have tried Nexplanon, TriSprintec, and just recently tried Slynd (drospirenone) for birth control. With all these birth controls, I had severe mental health side effects. I know that my doctor states the best option would be the Copper IUD, but I feel very unsure about another implant. I am looking for any guidance/advice regarding what BC I should consider and also if anyone knows if there is a combo of BC and antidepressants that could be better? I greatly appreciate any guidance.
