Well my GP finally looked at my last HbA1c (37) and requested I see the nurse to review my Metformin dosage . I was not looking forward to the visit as our old nurse was awful. Classic old bag! However she has retired (yippee) and her replacement is a breath of fresh air. As soon as I said I expected the HbA1c results as I am now on Mounjaro she immediately said she had done loads of training on MJ!! Conversation went over the loads of benefits it gives and she was very complimentary about my results to date, speed of loss (paced well @1.2lbs/week average) asked about side effects and was generally very sensible. A refreshing change! Particularly as GP was quite dismissive when I asked about going on it originally. If all carries on as is, I expect to come off Metformin later in the year. Have already dropped a lot of my BP meds.
