M2 in late 2026?

Hi! I currently own an intel based MBA and planning to upgrade to an M chip bec the apps I need for work are no longer supported. For context, I need it for studying, zoom calls, patient presentations using canva mostly, spreadsheets, and some video editing. But I don’t want to buy a Neo. Marketplace has secondhand M2s with 100% BH and around 13-68 CC with warranty this year or the next, for around ₱46-50k or ~$800. How many years do you think the support for M2 will run? Would you think it’s still worth it? Or should I buy an M4/M5 instead? Thank you!!

DIM: macbook air m5/neo

hi, i currently have a macbook air intel 2017 and been using it for years. napagtapos naman ako ng college at board exam. i love it kasi super tibay. kung hindi lang sa pag ooverheat, pag deplete ng battery, at pag discontinue ng apple with updates, i would use this for a lifetime. pero i’m entering a new workplace kasi next month and i will do lots of reading, patient charting and case discussions. i don’t think kakayanin pa ng current laptop ko. nag try ako mag canva recently at hindi na pwede sa macos na gamit ko! pag nagaairdrop din ako ng photos from my phone, may glitching na rin/corrupted na ang photos.

i wanted an air pa rin kasi and i don’t like the feel of the neo. wala na akong mahanap na m4/m3/m2. with all the price increase, is it too much of a splurge if i go from intel to m5? every year kaya magrerelease ng bagong m series, madali kaya mag sstop ng updates ang m5? gusto ko kasi sana mag last ng 5-7 or more years ang laptop. help ya gurl out, thank you!
