Work Accommodation
Hello. I am currently on medical LOA in California for the next month.
When I return to work, my doctor suggests I work 4 days a week instead of 5, or 32 hours instead of 40.
I am full time. In the GIG it states full time employees must be scheduled a minimum of 36 hours per week. Would they accept an accommodation through Sedgwick to work 32? Or would it mean I can’t meet the job requirements and I would have to step down?
I’m confused because the GIG states that full time is 30+ hours per week, but also says that I can’t work less than 36.
Any advice or feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
