We’re looking to renovate and extend a 1950s double brick home in NSW
Currently in the very early stages of planning. Priority will be given to making the home as comfortable and energy efficient as possible (pvc double glazed window, insulation and wraps, orienting the living areas north etc.)
What I’d love help with is finding tasteful and well done exterior renovations of similar builds. The front exterior is beautiful but the inside is impractical and in desperate need of a reno.
Should the roof be colorbond steel or do we restore the tile roof. Should the extension be brick, cladding or something else? We’d like to keep it cohesive rather than whacking on whatever and making it tacky. Any links would be appreciated.
Pictures not of our home but very similar builds.
