My vehcile was the casualty of a shooting...

Location: Summit County, Ohio. I apologize, I have not posted on reddit before and I am hoping I chose the correct flair. If I use "we" at all in the post it is my husband and I. On Friday, May 8th there was a shooting in my apartment complex parking lot. Essentially, two guests in different apartments found out they were in the same location and decided to open fire at each other with a pistol and automatic rifle. Thankfully no human was injured. My vehicle was an unfortunate casualty. We do not know the individuals involved and my vehicle was simply parked in the same spot as usual in the parking lot (i was sleeping with the flu at the time everything occured and only found out my vehicle was hit when the police knocked on my door to inform me). My back window was broken from shrapnel where I was parked and there is a bullet hole in my front bumper. I do have comprehensive insurance that covers vandalism and criminal activity, that I have paid the deductible for and had my back window replaced May 18th (that was the soonest they could get to us and the only place insurance approved). Yesterday, May 19th we had my vehicle towed to the mechanic we us (also approved by insurance) because upon starting my vehicle my check engine and ABS lights were on, which they previously were not. My mechanic called today, May 20th, sharing the bullet hole we saw did not cause any damage but there had to have been a ricochet bullet, as he found a full "bullet hole line" in my wiring harness and through a great deal of the wires in my vehicle, which is causing the lights. He does not feel comfortable working on my vehicle and shared it needs to be towed to a dealership. My insurance company (Geico) is no longer responding as we already planned on switching insurance companies on May 25th. We are still covered until that day and all of these events happened on May 8th. We have never defaulted on our insurance. I suppose I am asking if I have any legal options to go after the parties responsible for the shooting and the insurance company? I have already paid the copay for the damage and paid for the tow (which my policy claims I should not have had to pay for) however the insurance company is no longer responding and I do not know how to proceed without paying more out of pocket. I have a copy of the police report, as I am considered a victim in the situation. Any advice is extremely welcomed. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
