My company was acquired, but almost nothing in the agreement has been fulfilled in 3 years.
Location: Maine
A Texas venture studio acquired my business' assets in May 2023. In our agreement, both money owed and assumption responsibilities have not been fulfilled to the tune of over $250,000. A loan they were supposed to assume has now not been paid since August 2025, after constant demands on my end. While the company that purchased us is a portfolio company in the larger capital firm, the CEO/principal of that capital firm worked materially in the portfolio company's business often running the portfolio company. Wondering if I have any recourse, and where to start.
