Stopping birth control to track symptoms?

I've always had painful, heavy periods and started birth control (the pill) 3.5 years ago to help manage symptoms. I had a transvaginal ultrasound 2 years ago that came back normal (except for discovering my uterus is bicornuate lol), so I've been thinking about if endometriosis could be the cause.

I know the pill can mask symptoms of endo, so I was wondering if anyone else has stopped the pill in order to better track symptoms in pursuit of a diagnosis. I'm also wondering if there's even a point to getting a diagnosis - I'm managing fine(ish) with the pill, so I'm not sure a formal diagnosis would be any benefit.

I’ve been on Simpesse (generic of Seasonique) for a few years with no issues. I just refilled my prescription however, and the pharmacy is saying it’s Daysee (which is another generic brand with the same active ingredients). I know the active ingredients are the same, but can the inactive ingredients make a difference? Is there any way to get them to give me Simpesse instead of Daysee?
