Saw on Tuesday that V/Line has moved the stopping marks on the platform at North Geelong. I first noticed when an announcement came over saying 'the next train is only 3 carriages long, please move to the Melbourne end of Platform 1' or smth like that. They've done the same thing on platform 2 as well, and they might have moved one at Footscray as well (not sure, but one of the 3-car sets seemed to pull up very far down on Platform 4 on my way back.)
Anyone have any idea why they would have done this? Previously, the markers were such that the train was centered on the middle of the platform (and station building) regardless of whether it was 3 or 6 cars, now they pull up right at the end, leaving a long walk for anyone getting off at the front door
