Combined Coronectomy/wisdom tooth removal - Questions below
Hi,
I'm so impatient. I only got my surgery on Wednesday, it's now Saturday (on day 3-4 of recovery) and I am so bored out of my mind while also experiencing the strangest human sensations one could ever experience.
I also want to ask, is it normal that I can't feel much sensation in my chin besides a few tingling sensations only so often? Overall, my chin feels so heavy and doesn't feel like its actually attached to my face. My jaw is completely swollen, and has been since day 2 - WHEN DOES JAW SWELLING GO DOWN? I can barely move my jaw and I am a very picky food eater so having to remain on a soft food diet is not helping me, but it is what is needed.
For more information, I was informed that one of my wisdom teeth was actually wrapped around the nerve of my mouth, which is why they had to perform a coronectomy instead of a straightforward removal. They said recovery will take longer because of this complex issue (they had reassured me that I will not lose the nerve/feeling in my mouth/lips though), but I'm still concerned, seeing as I literally can't feel my chin, lol.
Also, I haven't vaped since the surgery. Not a hope in hell am i risking dry socket. Plz tell me if these symptoms are normal, should I be doing more to speed up recovery, and also... When can I start vaping again (please give me a realistic date that will not increase risk of a complication)
THANK UUUU
