Didn’t explicitly ask to have kitchen water supply lines replaced..

…but I’m surprised that when the plumbers updated the kitchen sink drain, they didn’t recommend addressing these old and corroded supply lines. One is leaking now and we are going to ask them to come back to replace them. It’s partially my bad for not asking them when they were here.

Feeling overwhelmed

My husband and I bought a house (built 1968) a few weeks ago. The house was appraised $10k over asking and we bought it for asking price and it’s in a great area

We already have had a plumber and electrician come out to fix a few problems we knew of from the inspection before buying (>$7k).

However, last weekend, we realized one of the toilets had a failed wax seal and appeared to have been leaking for a long time. We bought and installed a new *wax ring* (and also toilet, because we wanted a new toilet) to address the issue. This weekend, we ran the dishwasher for the first time and it started leaking water.

We haven’t even painted or bought new furniture yet, or been able to make the house feel like a home yet because we have had to do various repairs. Feeling very overwhelmed and almost regret buying a house where seemingly everything is broken. Anxiety is through the roof. Looking either for validation or reassurance, but maybe a reality check is what we need. 😭

how to fix this tub shower

just purchased this home and moved in a few weeks ago. noticed some cracks (and questionable mold?) in the corners. (1) what material was used to fill in the corners and for the plane changes? I know silicone caulk is the correct material, it looks like grout. (2) how to we best address this to prevent further water damage? remove the grout completely and replace with silicone caulk?

Follow up from previous post

Husband and I removed the toilet… what do we think? Does this clean up and flange set up seem good to put the toilet back on after we clean it? How much should we remove?

How much would this cost to fix

The first photo was yesterday and the second photo is today. We bought this house a few weeks ago and I cleaned the floor last week. How quickly should we have a plumber come and look at this? I don’t think my husband and I can DIY unfortunately. Obviously the baseboards behind the commode are affected too…

What could this indicate with the toilet

We just moved into this house and I cleaned the bathroom a few days ago. What could this dark coloring in the grout now indicate? And does it have to do anything with the baseboard behind?

just moved in to this house and was wondering what maybe has led to this damage

Edit: behind this wall is the garage and there is a hose spigot… might have something to do with it or might not
