Found this lost sketch I started some years ago. I won’t finish it but here it is.

“Even amidst the demonic nightmare descending upon them, the soldiers of the Band of the Hawk showed once again, for the last time, the dreadful perfection of their discipline. Upon a barren hill bearing the likeness of a screaming face, brothers-in-arms stood shoulder to shoulder against the tide of death, fighting to the very end as they screamed for salvation toward the men who were no longer there.”
