New home bathroom upgrade timing advice needed
Moving into a new home soon and thinking about doing a bathroom upgrade. The current bathroom has a bathtub, which is in good condition, but we are considering replacing it with a shower cubicle. We are trying to decide whether it is better to complete this work before moving in or to live in the house first and make a decision based on actual day-to-day use. There is also some preference within the household towards having a shower rather than a bath, but we are weighing this against cost and disruption. As this is our first home and it has only one bathroom, we are also conscious of the practical disruption during works, as well as maintaining a reasonable financial buffer after purchase. Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has done something similar — especially around timing, cost, and whether it is worth doing immediately or waiting a few months after moving in.
Thanks in advance
