First time meeting my sister inlaw
It’s my first time meeting my sister inlaw and I’m weirdly overthinking the wine part of it. I’ve been with my partner for about 8 months but she lives pretty far, so we haven’t had the chance to meet until now. All I really know is that she likes white wine but neither my husband nor I are huge wine people, so I feel lost trying to pick something. I don’t want to show up with the most basic bottle possible but I also don’t want to pretend I know way more about wine than I do. Would it be safer to get something sparkling, a lighter white? Is there a certain region that’s a safe choice? I have no idea how people confidently pick wine for situations like this.
