H-1B cap selected under the new wage-weighted lottery system.
Registration was filed under one SOC, and a matching LCA is already certified.

But my actual job duties fit a different SOC, which would likely map to a lower wage level than used at registration.
Concerned about SOC consistency across registration → LCA → I-129 under USCIS rules requiring matching or explained changes.
If SOC is corrected now, how strictly is this treated (RFE risk vs normal correction with explanation)?

USCIS guidance says:

• registration, LCA, and petition must be consistent
• mismatches require explanation
• cases may be denied if wage level/SOC was misstated to increase selection odds or changed after selection without a legitimate basis
