Landlord has has allowed someone to tie an animal up to the side of our house?
Location: North Western NC.
I currently live in a converted split rental property with a roommate, and our landlord is doing something really odd…
He’s currently allowing a man to live in front of our rental property in his van. We live in the downtown portion of our city, so he uses street parking which we can’t do anything about really. Though, the kicker is, he has a Rottweiler staying with him in this van (a dodge ram 1500, so not a nice converted one). Our landlord is currently allowing him to tie this dog up behind our house and leave him/her while he goes to work. We have no backyard, the house is built on the side of a hill, with no fencing or porch. So the dog is just sitting outside in the heat… We’ve called animal control with no real resolution, so I came here to see if I have any real way of solving this. I realize NC doesn’t really have any tenant laws, so I may be out of luck. Would love to hear any advice though!
