Hello friends,

I'm a 30 something man in rural borderlands Arizona , USA, and for over a decade I've found a particular calling to Sikhi. I have a religious studies degree, and a love for the teachings of Sikhism. I've taught classes for the general public on various religions from an outside but empathetic perspective but Sikhi is the one I've felt spiritually and personally connected to.

I used to go to a lot of religious diversity conferences and always was drawn to opportunities with the Sikh communities, often through kirtan, seva, and langar.

But, I've never lived in a community with a gurdwara, and the closest one is about 2 hours away. I'm not sure what the best way is to be involved without feeling like I'm appropriating or an imposter.

If I lived closer I'd learn how to attend often, but being a significant distance away I just can't as often as I'd want to. I watch videos, which are valuable but don't allow for much community connection or real conversation.

I also am not Punjabi, and only know English.

Any suggestions for this path are appreciated.
