Hey everyone,

I recently saw a video about teeth whitening and maintaining oral health, and I wanted to ask if this method is actually safe or not.

The recipe shown in the video was:

- 1 tbsp baking soda

- 3 drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide

- 8 drops of water

Mix it into a paste and brush gently for around 2 minutes, about 3–4 times a week.

The guy in the video also suggested “oil pulling” with coconut oil:

- Swish coconut oil in your mouth for 10 minutes

- Then spit it out and rinse before brushing

I asked ChatGPT about it, and it said doing the baking soda + peroxide method too often could damage or wear down the enamel layer, and suggested doing it maximum once a week instead.

So now I’m confused 😅

- Is this actually safe?

- Is 3–4 times a week too much?

- Does coconut oil pulling actually help with oral health/whitening or is it just internet hype?

Would love to hear opinions from dentists or people who actually know about this stuff.
