I got my AFUL Performer 5+2 today and used it almost the whole day.

First impressions:
The clarity is insane. I can hear almost every instrument separately and the separation is really good. The soundstage and detail are also impressive.

But I have one issue:
There is bass, and in some songs it actually sounds very good and satisfying, but in many songs it feels kind of flat or not impactful enough. It’s like the bass is clean and present but not giving that “effect” or punch consistently.

So now I’m confused.

I’m thinking about getting the Dunu x Gizaudio DaVinci.

My question:
If I switch to DaVinci, will I get that missing bass impact / fun factor WITHOUT losing the clarity, instrument separation, and detail that I’m currently enjoying on the AFUL Performer 5+2?

I don’t want muddy or overpowering bass. I still want to clearly hear instruments and details.

Has anyone compared both? Would DaVinci be a better balance for what I’m looking for?

I’m new to IEMs and would really appreciate some guidance. I usually listen to music on my Apple AirPods Pro (3rd generation) and I genuinely like how they sound. The only thing I feel is slightly lacking is bass—it’s decent, but I wish it had a bit more punch. Recently, I got curious after seeing how passionate people are about IEMs, so I decided to give them a try. After doing quite a bit of research, I ordered the AFUL Performer 5+2. It’s currently on the way. However, after placing the order, I came across some opinions suggesting that AFUL IEMs may not have very strong bass, which made me a bit unsure about my decision. Since I’ve never used IEMs before, I don’t really know what to expect. What I’m looking for is clear instrument separation and detail, along with a satisfying (not overwhelming) bass—ideally an upgrade over my AirPods. Did I make the right choice, or should I have considered something else?
