UNI FAN LCD FLEX FAN – Advanced LCD Customization

Huge thanks to Lian Li for providing the new SL-FLEX LCD fans!

I went with a Cyberpunk HUD theme for this one. Setting up the hardware readouts in L-Connect 3 was quick, and tweaking the graphics to match the yellow and cyan color scheme was pretty straightforward.

Everything integrated nicely with the CL Wireless fans, which kept the overall setup process simple. The new large LCD is also a big step up from the older wireless LCD fans, the extra screen space really elevates the premium look of the fans.

LIAN LI B4-mATX Build Impressions

Huge shoutout to Lian Li for sending me a B4-mATX and SX1000P for review!

Build Impressions & Feedback:

The compatibility of this case is impressive, making it a great, affordable Ncase M3 alternative. Better PSU placement options and 25mm fan support on top would've been great, but Machines And More covered some good solutions for ITX/SFF builds.

The Cooler, Fans & PSU Situation:

Testing the claims of this case meant trying an ATX power supply (Lian Li SXP 1000W) with the Noctua NH-D15 G2. As the spec sheet states, the cooler fits. However, the second fan pushed against both the side panel and the RAM, so it was removed and repurposed as a GPU intake.

I would not use an ATX PSU in this layout. The cables have to bend far too tightly at the back of the case, making the clearance uncomfortably cramped. The provided SXP 1000W is a great unit, but it just wasn't the right fit here. Swapping it out for a Corsair SF1000 gave the cables and components much more breathing room.

Regarding the fans, the two included top slim fans were removed to maintain a full Noctua build. A standard 120x25mm fan technically fits at the top right, but it pressed against the motherboard's VRM heatsink, so that spot was left empty.

Thermals:

Temps are good in this setup. A 10-minute benchmark in Cinebench 2026 resulted in no CPU throttling on the 7800X3D (reached 81°C at an 85°C temp limit). For the GPU, the 5070 Ti maxed out at 71°C in Furmark.

Interestingly, comparing the two PSU setups showed that CPU temps with the ATX power supply were slightly worse, but the GPU temps were exactly the same.

PC Specification List:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 G2 chromax
  • Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B850M-PLUS
  • Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB (2 x 16 GB)
  • Storage: Western Digital WD_Black SN850X
  • Video Card: Zotac SOLID SFF 5070 Ti
  • Case: Lian Li B4-mATX Wood MicroATX
  • Power Supply: Corsair SF1000 / Lian Li SXP 1000W
  • Case Fans: Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM chromax

Attached are a few interior shots detailing the component layout with both the ATX and SFX power supplies, and my 13" MacBook Air for size reference.
