Car broken into - searching for items

Hey all, as the title says my car was recently broken into. They didn’t take anything that can’t be bought back, but it’d be nice if someone saw my stuff laying around discarded or I could get it back. My car is so old it doesn’t have an alarm, so I didn’t see it until the morning.

My car was parked around Wentworth and the only thing they seemed to steal was a black bag with the following items inside. Equestrian helmet (wide brim, size M/L), two pairs of equestrian gloves, and a pair of equestrian spurs about one inch long.

Thanks for the help. I have someone helping me in the area who is searching places where it could’ve been discarded, but I know the chances of finding my stuff is pretty low.

Leather oil vs conditioner?

Hey all, genuinely wondering what the difference between oil and conditioner is.

I’ve read somewhere that new saddles only need a couple conditions for the first few weeks and they should be fine. I’ve also known someone who bought a saddle and oiled it a few times before even riding in it.

My old saddle used to get cleaned then conditioned, and hasn’t seen oil in at least the 10 years I’ve owned it. Just bought a second saddle and am starting to read up on these things again.

Just conditioned the new one and it’s pretty much drank it within the first 10 minutes. Do I keep conditioning until it doesn’t, or leave it for a bit? My other saddle I could condition once and leave it for two days to absorb and it’d be fine.

Genuine curiosity here, as this new saddle was definitely more costly than the old one and I’d prefer to keep the wear and tear to a minimum!

Thanks! Any advice you guys can give on the matter is much appreciated! I’ll take everything I can get!

Volunteering positions

Hey all, looking for some spaces to volunteer at that can also be resume builders or use to make connections. As a recent Trent graduate, finding a job in my field without moving to a big city has proven to be hard. I graduated in the sciences and math.

I’m looking for possible data entry, research assistant, or any shadowing type positions that could potentially look good on a resume since I don’t have experience in my field. There’s a couple places I’ve been looking at for funsies, such as the turtle center, but I’m also looking to see what else is out there.

Since finding a job is getting harder here, I might as well dedicate some time to being productive in the community.

Thanks!
