I've been doing ballet for 11 years, pointe for five, and I've recently run into an issue within these past few weeks: I experience intense pain (similar to pins in needles) on the tips of my toes when I go en pointe. Additionally, when I take off my shoes, I find that the skin underneath my toenails is usually bleeding. I've never run into these issues before, and I haven't changed anything about my routine...same shoes, toepads, etc. as I've always used. Any thoughts?
