Problem with Super.com
I booked a hotel through Super.com on April 14th for a trip to Chicago 4/17-4/19. The day before we were supposed to make the 6hr trip, I called the hotel and they did not have my reservation. I spoke to Super.com support who said they would fix the issue and email me back when the reservation could be confirmed.
Eventually, after a few hours I booked another hotel in case Super.com never emailed me back. I ended up never receiving any response back on the issue from Super.com and kept the backup hotel reservation.
I attempted to do a chargeback for the hotel reservation after we got back, since it was obviously not usable, but because the hotel did eventually receive the reservation and I was never informed by Super.com, so the credit card company ruled in Super.com’s favor twice.
I am unsure what to do. I’m not sure what the credit card company would want me to do in this situation. My options were either:
A. Assume Super.com has the reservation confirmed and drive to Chicago without confirmation and risk not having any hotel booked.
B. Assume Super.com doesn’t have the reservation and book a backup hotel and use the backup hotel if Super.com didn’t confirm the reservation which I did.
Am I just SOL here?
