This keeps coming up when I search for accountability tools. curious if the memory holds up over time or gets shallow fast. genuine experiences appreciated.

I'm a project manager. I've run teams of 20 people. I pride myself on being sharp, organized, and across everything at all times. Six months ago I walked into a meeting I had personally organized, for a project I was leading, and I couldn't remember why we were there for almost a full minute. Just stood there while it slowly came back to me in pieces while my team watched.
I've been having symptoms for about two years now. Sleep issues started first, then anxiety that came completely out of nowhere, then the fog that scares me the most. I finally went to my doctor and laid it all out as carefully and specifically as I could. She said my bloods looked fine and I should focus on sleep hygiene and stress reduction.
I went home and cried for an hour. Not because I expected a miracle. Just because I had finally articulated something that had been genuinely frightening me and the response was essentially "try chamomile tea." I know I need to push harder, find a specialist, advocate for myself more forcefully. I know. But some days I don't have the bandwidth for that fight on top of everything else. Some days I just need someone to say - yes, this is real, you are not imagining it, it makes complete sense that this is hard.
I've been on Sudowrite for about 8 months. it was great when I first started - the Shrink Ray, the brainstorming tools, getting unstuck on individual scenes. genuinely useful for that stage of writing.
But I'm working on longer and more complex stuff now and I'm starting to feel like I've outgrown it. the context problem is getting worse the deeper I get into my manuscript. it doesn't really hold the story together across 80k words, every session feels like introducing my characters all over again. and for what it actually does now I'm not sure the price is justified anymore.
Not looking to start a war, I know people love it. Just wanna know what people moved to and whether the switch was worth it. Specifically interested in tools that handle long form better than Sudowrite does
