Tandem Kayak Recommendations
Hey everyone - wife and I are looking to purchase our own tandem kayak instead of renting from a company at a nearby spring in central FL. Intent is to explore other springs or small lakes within the central FL area, and won’t be used for fishing. The kayak we have experience with is the Perception Tribe 13.5’, which has generally been great with the exception of persistent swamp ass due to the lower seats.
Started looking online at options with framed seats, and am currently in between the LiquidLogic Stingray 13.5 and Crescent Crew tandems… both are similar but have their slight differences (both around $1,300-1,400 delivered). I know the Crescent does not have internal storage, and while it would be nice to have, don’t want to base my decision off this alone. Trying to prioritize comfort with a balance of maneuverability and stability.
Given that we can’t find any of these local to see before purchasing, was hoping for any insight into either of these options. If there‘s something else similar out there that may be better for our use, also open to that!
