I’m looking for a used/refurbished workstation such as a Dell Precision T7920/T7810 or HP Z8 G4 (or any similar enterprise-grade workstation/server) for virtualization labs, mainly for EVE-NG, FMC, FTD, SD-WAN, and heavy networking labs.
Minimum requirements:
Ram: 64 GB DDR4 minimum (must be expandable to 512 GB in future)
Storage: 1 TB SSD for OS + lab storage
CPU: Minimum 2x 18+ physical cores / around 32+ vCPUs
GPU: Not mandatory or 2gb would be enough
This setup is mainly for running large multi-vendor network labs, so strong CPU and RAM capacity matter more than graphics.
I’ve already checked with Server Basket, but they currently don’t have stock.
I’d like to know:
What would be a fair price for this kind of build in Hyderabad?
Any trusted sellers, refurb dealers, or contacts for these systems?
Whether Dell Precision T7920 is better value compared to HP Z8 G4 for this use case?
Looking for practical advice from people who have built similar lab setups.
