I was recently accepted into LUMS SDSB’s BSc (Hons) program and have already paid the fee (nearly PKR 1.2 million). However, after reflecting on it, I don’t think joining LUMS was ever truly my dream. I feel like I may have chosen it because of peer pressure and all the hype surrounding it online, which now seems a bit overrated to me.
I’m now considering taking a gap year to prepare for MDCAT or perhaps even joining the army. Do you think either of those options would be worth it?
The only issue is that if I withdraw now, I’ll lose around PKR 150,000.
What would you suggest? Should I join LUMS and move on, or take the risk of giving Army Medical College or Aga Khan University another shot next year?
( I cannot prepare for these with LUMS)

I recently got accepted into SDSB. In my conditional offer, the deadline to upload my O Level equivalency certificate was 30 June 2026. Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware of this deadline. I had already completed the payment and everything else, and as soon as I realized, I emailed LUMS explaining the situation and attached my O Level equivalency certificate. It was mailed about six hours after the deadline. Will this be an issue?
Also the portal didn’t have any upload feature for this.
