Best spanish medical books for Advanced mid level
So, for some context, I learned Spanish at 19 as a mormon missionary in Central America. I was assigned as “mission nurse“ working closely with the mission doctor, doing charts, and sending off prescriptions. My spanish has gotten a little rusty over the past few years since coming home, but I have maintained at an ACTFL Advanced mid level (según the official oral proficiency exam I took a week ago). I’m a medical assistant and will occasionally translate office visits but sometimes get stuck—not so much with nouns but with knowing the correct verb or adjectives to describe the patient’s physical sensations.
I’m currently applying for med schools and am in the market for a Spanish medical book that goes beyond just ”corazón, pulmón, padecer, diabetes, someterse a, etc.” Would love to hear from translators or other medical professionals as well!!
