I’ve been looking for a way to go camping on a weekend this summer, but it seems like all of the campsites are booked up. Are there any places you all know of or go to where it’s not insanely competitive to get a tent spot? How is dispersed camping?

I could rent a car but ideally would just take the metro north. Any suggestions welcome!! Also open to Jersey.
