Achilles feels so short short

Anyone else get this feeling? I’m 6 weeks post op today. Moving around great in the boot at 25 degrees, and full weight bearing in the boot. But when I take the boot off to do some seated calf raises, plantar flexed stretches and movements, etc., I literally cannot put my foot in a neutral position. If my knee is over my heel, my heel is an inch off the ground putting my foot in the plantar flexed position. It could be that I’m just not there yet and I’ll get there when I start PT. But it’s just such an odd feeling.

Actually was able to somewhat walk without crutches. Unfortunately my incision slightly opened at the bottom I think because the steri strips applied after I got the stitches out held moisture at the bottom of the incision. Darn you gravity…
The wound itself is closed but a few of the top layers of the epidermis are open. I keep asking the surgeon and he keeps saying it’s fine and looks good. So I guess it’s a neosporin to keep prevent from infection, and keep it covered until it scars over.
