What would I likely score if this was basically my aaq?
A. Case Study
B. The operational definition of anxiety is the negative feelings invoked, specifically those involved in a fear of missing out, when participants were unable to answer the phone. These feelings were evaluated on how "tense" or "worried" they made the participants feel, with higher scores indicating more anxiety.
C. The statistically significant difference in the means anxiety scores indicates that the Phone Absent group had much greater levels of anxiety because of the absence of their phone compared to the lower anxiety levels of the Phone present group who had their phones beside them.
D. One ethical guideline is that not only did they obtain a review from an outside committee to ensure no harm to participants or participants rights, but they gave the participants the right to withdraw. The right to withdraw is the ability to leave the experiment at any time for any reason without consequence.
E. The study may not be generalizable because it had an unequal amount of females compared to males as well as an unequal amount of participants who were white in ethnicity compared to other races.
F. The research findings support the idea that FOMO causes anxiety because it was found that the Phone Absent group had much higher anxiety levels as they couldn't see whether they were missing am important call, chance for social connection, or an important opportunity.
I know I got part A wrong but I got pressed for time and just went with Case Study. And I'm unsure about my operational definition since I didn't specifically list the 4-point Likert Scale. Furthermore my teacher never told us that the Right To Withdraw is now considered Informed Consent as I've seen on a lot of other posts. And I'm unsure if I'll lose points on the statistical significance part because I didn't mention that it wasn't because of chance.
Idk, just looking for input :)
