I’m sure this has been asked a million times so I apologize but I tried searching, via mobile and it just isn’t great.
I have owned a green egg in some capacity for the last 18ish years. That’s all there was or all I knew when I first bought, I’m pretty brand agnostic I just went the best value for money and i love the innovation that KJ seems to have over BGE.
Started with a large out of college , moved a couple times , life yada yada yada…. downsized to a small which I’ve owned since 2010? and purchased the small traeger that costo sells in like 2018?. No clue the model name. Ready to get back into the big kamado game. The traeger scares me.
Family of 3. Sometimes cook for max 10-12 like once or twice a year. I do like to entertain.
Looking at classic series 1 or 2 because I’m cheap and I’ve already learned to cook with bare minimum using fire bricks as indirect heat deflectors, I’ve changed gaskets, etc. is the series 2 or 3 that bad ass?
I’ll keep my small egg so I don’t think having the big Joe makes sense from a wallet perspective.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk and feel free to take down if not appropriate or if I’ve missed something. Appreciate any feedback
