I was talking to a friend of mine at University of Washington about HRR this year and at my current club (in the UK) we are lacking rowers for my crew aiming to qualify for HRR, we have a crew selected but it’s more the issue of training together and slight lack of commitment. My friend comes back to the UK at the start of June but said he isn’t able to row in club events at HRR but isn’t sure why? He would be a great asset to the crew and be able to train on the water fully so really push up our qualifying chances. Does anyone know a reason he wouldn’t be able to join the club late and race with us? I’ve spoken to my coach’s and they all think he should be able to.
