How long did it actually take you to feel 'up to speed' at your current job?
Not the HR answer: the real answer.
I'm talking about the point where you could answer most questions yourself without asking anyone or digging through 6 different tools.
For me, it was about 4 months at my last job, and honestly, most of that time wasn't learning the codebase — it was learning where information lived. Which Slack channel had the context? Which Notion pages were actually up to date? Which people held which knowledge?
Curious if this is universal or if some teams have actually solved this.
