I am currently in my third year almost 4th studying in Australia. Since the start of the degree i haven’t learnt anything worth learning and it all has been pretty much stupid hard math that i will never use. Luckily with my civil experience i am currently a Project Engineer. I want to ask and learn why the degree is so unrealistic and far fetched to what a real civil engineer actually does. Since the start I haven’t even read a set of plans or understood the fundamentals of pavement building or drainage apart from outdated calculations that no one uses.
