First of all, I dislike her character. Alicent can’t even admit her wrongdoing, believing she’s somehow redeemed after everything she’s done. She’s someone who can’t stand another woman enjoying her own life and happiness.

“If I suffer I want you to suffer too” kind of person. Essentially, she wants to bring every woman down, even her own daughter. As a mother, she allowed Helena to marry her rapist and drunken son, letting her daughter suffer the same fate. She plays the victim card when things go wrong. She’s not as clever as she thinks she is, believing she’ll be allowed to rule while her team wants a male ruler.

I’m baffled by everyone’s love for her character. Could someone explain it to me?
