My husband and I are moving to Korea (likely short term, up to 2 years) due to some unforeseen circumstances and to be closer to his family (he’s a Korean citizen). I don’t speak the language, so job-wise I think I’m out of luck and we’ll need to rely on him earning money for the time being. His parents live in Seoul, so we’ll have a place to be for a while but eventually of course want to live on our own.
My question is, is it doable to live in Seoul on one income for two people? We have some savings set aside but we’re a little concerned about housing costs with only one source of income. If it’s not, how have other foreigners been able to gain some income?
