I have two different tapes as part of a research study, hopefully todays intervention didnt make my data unusable. So I had a lot of bruising on my left pec area. I did not have drains placed during surgery. For other reasons (suspected clot) I had a CT of my chest, and the results documented size/location of fluid pockets. I was able to get in today and the surgeon drained my left pec. He used the original incision scar, I was numbed with lidocaine. I was laying on my back, and when he nicked the fluid pocket, it gushed onto the floor, down my back, all the way to my pants. The surgeon said "oh there it is!" The photo was the mess when I stood up. Surgeon said it was something that can happen even with drains placed. I'm not upset, I'm pretty sure that area was impacted by the binder rolling up and pressing on it on my drive home from the hospital, I'm just glad some of the pressure in that area is gone. Also, surgeon was pressing on the area to express the fluids, and he had me on my right side and was poking in my left armpit area and i said "Ah!" and started giggling because it tickled. He apologized and said "most people arent awake when i do this".

Hey! I am excited to share, I am 47, egg finally allowed to crack 2 years ago, on t for 20 months. Surgery was April 27th with Dr Hadad in Indianapolis. Was a combo surgery with hysterectomy (Dr. Yates). Recovery has been smooth, pain minimal. The past few days have been irritable, nerves are reconnecting and everything is tingly with occasional zaps, along with discomfort from swelling. I had some bruising that provider wasnt concerned with, but it looks pretty rough. I also have 2 different tapes, I got to be part of a research study collecting data on them. Overall, just the amazing feeling of "rightness".
