Hi everyone,

I’m vacating a property after 1.5 years. The agent provided two "preferred" cleaners who offer a bond-back guarantee (returning to reclean if the landlord isn't satisfied).

The quotes are roughly 4 times the price of a standard professional clean and don't include potential "extras."

• Is it standard practice to negotiate these quotes?
• Should I hire my own independent cleaners instead?
• Has anyone successfully pushed back on this massive price premium for a guarantee?
