PurePaleo Protein: Does your body still absorb it if you flush it out right after?
I drank a 100g of PurePaleo Protein by Designs for Health mixed with almond milk and ended up having liquid stool shortly afterward. It got me wondering: if you get diarrhea right after a protein shake, does your body still absorb most of the protein, or is a lot of it basically just getting flushed out before it can be used?
I know digestion starts before food fully passes through your system, but I’m curious how much rapid digestion/liquid stool actually affects protein absorption. Does having diarrhea soon after mean your body didn’t really process it properly, or can you still absorb a decent amount even if it feels like it “went straight through”?
Also wondering if 100g at once is just too much for some people to handle comfortably. Has anyone else experienced this with paleo/beef protein powders specifically?
