Childhood Dream of a Strange Red Figure. Has Anyone Seen Something Like This?

I wanted to share a vivid dream I had when I was very young or at least in the "dream" I was very young (around 1-2 years old) and see if anyone else has experienced anything similar or can help me understand it.
In the dream, I was lying in my crib at night (though it wasn’t completely dark it was maybe late evening or early morning). I looked through the crib bars and saw a figure standing in the doorway. It had normal human legs, but its torso and head were combined into one shape that looked kind of like a banana cut in half and placed on top of the legs. The entire figure was bright red including the legs, torso/head, and face. The face had masculine human features, and it just stood there staring, but not at anything in particular.
I either woke up or the figure left/disappeared shortly after. Soon after, my mom came in wearing scrubs and picked me up she was either leaving or coming home from work.
Later, my mom told me that as a baby, I sometimes waved or reached out to things that weren’t there, which makes me wonder if this figure was something I was actually seeing or just a dream.
Has anyone else had a similar experience of seeing or dreaming about unusual humanoid figures with strange shapes or colors? Or does this remind anyone of any folklore, symbolic meanings, or sleep phenomena? I’m curious if this kind of vision is common or known in any way.
