Technically not really a legal question but may become one. Currently a senior in college days away from graduating, I’ve been cultivating a certain strain of mushroom in a college apartment—left for a week between finals and graduation and they did surprise apartment inspections. The university police confiscated my cultivation supplies which included a few boxes of mycelium, some grain spawn bags, and a bag of “faulty” mushrooms (possibly did not contain any active drug due to being dried at too high temp). I know I’m stupid and should have cleaned up properly, but at this point what should I do? They will be calling me and my roommates in for a hearing of some sort tomorrow so is there anything I can say that would minimize repercussions? Not sure if it matters but I do work in a mycology lab and have a genuine interest in mycology.
