If you're planning to travel solo to Morocco

I read a lot of stories before my trip and after visiting Morocco this year here's my personal opinion.

If you're a woman I think having a local guide or someone you trust with you in certain places can make the experience much easier especially if you don't speak Arabic or French. It's not because Morocco is unsafe but because having a local around helps you avoid misunderstandings and makes everything feel more comfortable.

If you're a man traveling solo is generally pretty straightforward. Just use common sense be respectful and don't be afraid to ask locals for recommendations they often know the best places that tourists would otherwise miss.

Overall I found Moroccans to be incredibly friendly and welcoming. Like any popular destination it's a good idea to stay aware of your surroundings, agree on prices beforehand when necessary and ignore anyone who seems overly pushy.

For me Morocco was an amazing experience and I'd happily visit again.
