Built something from scratch inside someone else's business.... What's next
Early 30s, regional Australia. I've spent several years growing a division within an established company improved and developed the systems, customer base, and team from the ground up. No equity in what I built.
I've good autonomy, decent income, but hitting a structural ceiling. The path forward inside this business doesn't match where I want to go. I've a young family and stability is key.
I'm uncertain whether the next move is ownership, (buy a small business, go independent or jump to something with other opportunities), or a pivot toward people-focused work, something I'm excited about, coaching, consulting, organisational culture. Possibly both over time.
Looking for someone who's navigated a similar inflection point.
Not looking for a paid coach, just an honest conversation with someone who's been in a similar spot and is willing to share what they learned.
