For the past 3 years my quality of life has significantly declined. I was previously high functioning — got a good job ahead of my peers, was sharp and motivated. Something changed gradually and I can’t get answers.
Symptoms:
• Extreme daily fatigue
• Severe afternoon energy crash every single day
• Sleep doesn’t help regardless of hours
• Completely caffeine dependent after noon to function
• People can visibly see exhaustion on my face unprompted
• Brain fog
• Difficulty finding words mid conversation
• Trouble spelling and forming sentences
• Complete loss of motivation
• Low libido
• Feeling cold all the time
• Dry eyes
• Get sick frequently
Labs done:
• TSH mildly elevated twice. 5.3 and 4.8 after 4 months. T3 and T4 normal
• No further testing done
Doctors keep saying everything is fine. I am not fine. This has gone on for 3 years and has significantly affected my work, relationships, and quality of life.
What could be causing this? What tests should I be pushing for?
