UNSW Psych Hons Entry
Hey guys just trying to seek advice from anyone in the Psychology (Honours) or Advanced Science (Honours) (Major in Psychology) who went down the Psychology Honours pathway.
I’m an 2nd year Advanced Science (Honours) student majoring in Psychology. I completed 2001 this term and it absolutely took me out and tanked my wam overall..
Grades were just released and my PSYC WAM is about 70… I was a neuroscience major in my first year, and didn’t really care about my PSYC courses since I was more focused on neuroscience. However, I’m pretty certain on completing my honours in psychology and doing the 5+1 pathway to becoming a psychologist.
I’m aware that the PSYC WAM they use to assess entry into honours is 75, and is weighted on your psychology units, meaning all my neuro units (which I did decently well in) don’t count anymore😭😭
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience or advice? I’ve been set on psychology for a while now and really regret not trying as hard. Is it still possible for me?
