I was playing through the Acquisitions Incorporated module and thought of this question when doing a dungeon crawl. Sometimes in DND, it is very obvious there is a trap from the description of a location. As a PC, you may miss your perception or investigation check to find it. However, as a player, you know the trap is there.

As a DM, do you prefer players then trying a million checks to find the trap they know is there or proceed as if they didn't know it was there?
