I LOVE my lying Perry Polar Bear and my large Smudge rabbit. They’re my pillow most nights!
Sacha gives me the same cuddle pillow vibes.
Is she the kind of big cuddly that makes for a great pillow/nap buddy?

Hi all

TL;DR
Experiences or knowledge of easier, gentler prep options that are perhaps spread out over a week? Cannot tolerate the typical day before preps.

Long Post:

Today is my prep day for my second colonoscopy, the first one being back in 2018.
Prep for me is… not good. It was bad back then. It is even worse this time. I have motility issues(brain and gut don’t communicate and if I say “push” my gut says “no” and it’s just pain. Later my gut says “surprise!” and it’s bad pain and I have no control over the spasms).

I’m scheduled for both upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy. I had the 4L of prep I was supposed to drink (half today, half in the morning) and I got less than half down.

My 2018 prep was magnesium citrate and pills, I believe. It was also very bad, but nowhere close to this.

I’m done. I’m not continuing the prep. I’m having extreme pain, nausea, panic attacks (also autistic and this is sensory overload), pain that makes me scream and I can’t move other than doubling over, gagging when I try to drink the prep, etc.
I plan to go tomorrow and just tell them what’s up and request the upper endoscopy to continue and ask to retry the colonoscopy later.

So my question:
Does anyone have experiences or knowledge of a gentler prep that maybe slowly clears you out over the course of a few days or a week?
I had little warning for this procedure, so I was only on a low fiber diet for less than a week. I plan to do a longer low fiber diet for my next try. But that will still be very very painful for me.
Any suggestions or advice or shared knowledge would be very appreciated. I will also obviously talk to my GI about this.

Reading experiences of easy prep days makes me happy for you all but also just a bit defeated that it’s so miserable for me. I need answers but this prep is intolerable to my body.
